Ce tableau me touche particulièrement car il a été créé dans un moment d’incertitude, de fragmentation intérieure. Il m’a permis de m’unifier en laissant s’exprimer un age qui n’avait jamais pris la parole ainsi.
Il possède une fraicheur que les autres tableaux n’ont pas, grâce à l’emploi du vert, du bleu. Le blanc apporte une grande respiration et renforce l’énergie du trait.
La série Notebook reprend dans son essence, le principe du carnet de note où viennent s’accumuler les idées, listes, priorités qui font la vie quotidienne dans le but de se libérer d’une charge mentale. Je pose cela sur la feuille pour ne pas y penser et en même temps, ne pas l’oublier.
Mon processus créatif ne tolère pas de repentirs, de brouillons, d’essais ou de cadres. Il se déroule dans un laps de temps très court. Presque instantané.
J’écarte ainsi toute possibilité d’autocensure en entrant dans une transe qui donne la parole à l’enfant, l’adolescent ou le jeune adulte bâillonné.
La difficulté est de canaliser ce flux tout en respectant les valeurs chromatiques, la composition et l’équilibre des températures.
Je n’ai pas décidé de tout ce processus. Il m’est venu naturellement.
This painting touches me particularly because it was created at a time of uncertainty and inner fragmentation. It allowed me to unify myself by giving voice to an age that had never spoken like this before.
It has a freshness that the other paintings lack, thanks to the use of green and blue. The white brings a breath of fresh air and reinforces the energy of the line.
In essence, the Notebook series takes up the principle of the notebook, in which ideas, lists and priorities that make up daily life are accumulated in order to free oneself from a mental burden. I put them down on a sheet of paper so as not to think about them, and at the same time, not to forget them.
My creative process doesn’t tolerate repentance, drafts, trials or frameworks. It takes place in a very short space of time. Almost instantaneous.
I thus rule out any possibility of self-censorship by entering into a trance that gives voice to the gagged child, adolescent or young adult.
The difficulty lies in channeling this flow while respecting chromatic values, composition and temperature balance.
I didn’t decide this whole process. It came naturally to me.
